In the early weeks of September of our Sabbath year, the Holy Spirit instructed me to add a new administrative feature to our operations. 'Lord, that's a lot of work you are asking me to do', I said to Him. 'Then, get right to it', He replied. This task was going to require me to do some coding work ( computer programming). I was hesitant to do this work because:
I was enjoying just listening to teachings all-day
I was fasting and as such would be hungry. I was concerned that my hunger would affect my productivity
I hadn't coded in the required language in a long time. From experience, anytime I don't use a programming language in a long time, I get rusty and this makes working very difficult.
Despite my reservations, I had to do as instructed. To my amazement, I was not rusty at all and my physical weakness was not a limitation at all. I even knew things I didn't know before, as though I had taken a course without realizing it. Each time I got stuck, the Holy Spirit told me exactly what to do. Despite being able to commit only an average of four hours a day ( I still had to study and pray), I was able to complete the main work (excluding the user feedback & bug testing phase) within three days. Ideally, this would have taken me between four to seven days of full attention to complete. I give all the glory to God for sharpening my mind beyond the bounds of natural laws. Glory to God!!
